Where to take the ferry from Capri to Naples
Ferries to Naples depart from the port of Marina Grande, the main and only ferry port of Capri. The port is on the north coast of the island and handles all ferry and hydrofoil connectionw with Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.
The main dock area has plenty of traveler amenities, such as ticket offices, cafés, luggage services, taxi stands, bus stops, and the funicular station nearby.
How to get to the port of Capri
- On foot: you can walk down to Marina Grande from Capri town, but the route is steep, so it’s easier with light luggage only.
- From Capri town: the ride on the funicular (cable car) from the Piazzetta area down to Marina Grande last about 4 min.
- From Anacapri: you can take a local bus from Anacapri and reach Marina Grande in around 15-20 min.
- By taxi: open-top taxis are available around Capri and Anacapri and can drop you off close to the port area.
Where does the ferry arrive in Naples?
Ferries from Capri usually arrive at Molo Beverello or Calata Porta di Massa in Naples, depending on the type of vessel.
